For the Greater Good

As the weeks and months pass, we should remind ourselves as a church family of the on going importance of what traditionally has been called our mission.

Every two months, we change the specific goal of what we do for the greater good. During January and February, we gave a significant amount of food and money to the Danville Food Shelf. During March and April, we'll buy hopefully a thousand dollars worth of blankets for folks in desperate situations around the world through Church World Service. During June and July months we will support David's House at Dartmouth, In the coming months make a purchase of livestock for sustainable agriculture around the world, through The Heifer Project. In September and October we will be key participants in the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger, and then in November and December will support the Lifeline link enabling those who live alone to get emergency help.

Several thousand dollars will be given to these causes for the Greater Good. None of this could happen without the generosity of our church members and friends. Thanks once again is expressed.
