Donations

  • The General Fund is an unrestricted donation to support all of the Church’s activities, including its ministry, missions and the Meetinghouse.
  • The Danville Food Shelf is a year-round mission of the Church to collect food and provide financial support to The Open Door.
  • A gift to Steeple Lighting helps the Church light the Meetinghouse steeple each week and normally is made as a memorial or in recognition of some person or event.
  • The Preservation Fund is an endowment fund managed by the Vermont Community Foundation the income from which is distributed annually to the Church and restricted to support the Meetinghouse’s operating expenses but not the Church’s ministry.
  • The Annual Appeal is an annual pledge of support, usually made in recurring weekly or monthly payments, to the Church’s General Fund.
  • The Capital Fund, often donated as a memorial, supports capital needs of the Meetinghouse or Church.
  • The Northeast Kingdom Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (NEKASAN) was established in 2020. Asylum seekers have fled persecution and often violence in their own countries due to religion, politics, or sexual orientation. Many have undertaken long, arduous journeys to reach our border. They are referred to NEKASAN while they are being held in detention centers or homeless shelters across the U.S. Once here in the Northeast Kingdom, guests stay with paid host families or in rental apartments and receive monthly stipends to help with food and personal needs. We help them get access to health care and immigration lawyers, and obtain work permits. Our goal is always to provide community and a road to self-sufficiency for these new Vermonters.
